Sean Crosby is a self-taught artist with years of experience in the painting industry, both on-the-job and in the classroom. Over the past 10 years, Sean has become a highly regarded instructor of mural, trompe l’oeil, graining and marbling. Sean owns and operates The Mural School in Delaware, and he has taught numerous classes at various schools throughout the US as well as in Europe. The courses that Sean teaches are strict disciplines of decorative painting, however he thrives on creating a classroom atmosphere that combines his vast knowledge with humor to make the classes not only educational, but enjoyable as well. With all of the courses he teaches, Sean says the key to success for artists and decorators is to heighten one’s sense of observation regarding geometry, color, value and horizontal & vertical line. Crosby cites his influences as Italian fresco masters such as Tiepelo, Michelangelo and Veronese, as well as 19th Century artists such as Bouguereau, Parrish and Leighton.
