Class Description: This course will simplify the somewhat complex and laborious world of gilding, giving your portfolio a very marketable edge and adding to your talent as a decorative artist. We will be preparing samples – on trim pieces and on boards - which never fail to impress designers and clients alike.

• Aging and antiquing leaf
• Using dyes over metal leaf
• Using shaibin as an alternative to leaf
• Stenciling with shaibin
• Using metallic powders-a demonstration
Supplies to Bring: Two soft 2” brushes, three 1” chip brushes, one medium sized sea sponge.
Supplies Provided: Painted boards and trim pieces, Dutch metal gold, silver and copper leaf, size, shaibin, stencils, metallic powders, etc.
