Class Description: Join this French-taught Swede for a one-day class in mahogany woodgraining. The class will learn how to imitate mahogany wood grain using vinegar juice and oil glaze. The class will do several try-outs on screens before a final screen is done for personal showcase. Specific techniques for mahogany include mahogany heart, feather mahogany and mahogany stripe figure. This is a quick way to grain as you can do both layers in the same day and achieve a natural mahogany look.

Supplies to Bring: Round glazing brush for water, round glazing brush for oil, spalter for water, spalter for oil, flogger, badger, veinette, teeth spalter, cats tongue, lettering brushes. Students can also bring miscellaneous brushes of their own choice.
