Class Description: Understand the fundamentals of lime plasters from the basic history of manufacturing to a finished product. The student will learn the traditional application of stucco marmo, marmorino, coccio-pesto and lime paint. We will also cover the following topics: tinting and color matching; to prime or not to prime; uses of quartz and specialty primers; water based waxes and lime sealers; how to make your own metallic wax; green elements of the lime products. Total of seven boards.
