Class Description: Learn six old world finishes inspired by a recent visit to “Villa Mansi” near the city of Pisa, Italy. Learn to mix your own durable stains using high quality water based products to create these multi-layered, painted peel finishes that look centuries old. “Antiquing” and “toning” techniques will be used to create nuances of aged, well loved furniture. Lecture and demos will include proper surface preparation techniques for new and used furniture. Samples will be executed on panels and ornamental molding. Top coats include polyurethane and acrylic waxes. A product conversion chart is included in your complete course syllabus featuring the most popular lines of Faux Finishing products.
