Number of Hours: 4 ( ½ Day PM)

Class Description: Ornamentation and trompe l’oeil are skills that come easier if completely understood through concise explanation and practice. Pierre Finkelstein is ready to walk you through painting a dramatic medallion – the same one featured in his book, The Art of Faux. Students will first draw five templates for the medallion on a long strip of canvas. Then, by creating a study, the student is left with a visual explanation of the steps involved to create this popular ornament while practicing the brush strokes and placement by repetition.
